I know it's only the beginning of February, and I know the groundhog says 6 more weeks of winter, but I agree with the kids at my school: he was wrong! Yesterday, I went out for recess in a jacket, with no gloves or scarf to speak of. The sky was blue, the sun was out, and I actually saw flocks of Canadian geese flying NORTH! I could hear their honking echo across the sky. What a glorious day. Pretty soon, I'm going to have to start walking around my yard, looking for green poking up from the ground. This is my spring ritual that always seems to baffle my non-gardener neighbor.
My rational brain tells me that this is just a teaser- winter is still lurking. But I'll take what I can get.
